The awning device using a flexible solar battery module according to an embodiment of the present invention is advantageous in that: the state of inward/outward movement of the awning having a flexible solar battery module configured on the upper portion thereof is determined; the flexible solar battery module is configured according to the state of inward/outward movement; among multiple strings each including multiple photovoltaic cells, only a string that is exposed to sunlight and thus capable of power generation is selected and used to generate power, while stings that are not exposed to sunlight are prevented from generating power; accordingly, even when only a part of the flexible solar battery module configured on the upper portion of the awning is exposed to sunlight, stable power generation is guaranteed.
