It contains data on the legal situation regarding files in all categories of industrial property: distinctive signs, inventions and designs.
The database contains, in particular, information on the legal/administrative situation regarding:
- patents and utility models and applications for European and PCT patents designated to Spain
- Distinctive signs: trade marks and trade names as well as international trade marks effective in Spain
- Industrial Models and Drawings and Industrial Designs since 2004
- Topographies of Semiconductor Products

Enquiries can be made "By application number" in all categories. They can be made alse "By publication number" for national patents and utility models, and european patents and PCT which designs Spain.

| Scope: |
The database stores information on all files after 1979 and on files for inventions registered between 1964 and 1979 and which are still in effect, in addition to trade marks registered prior to this date and which have been extended and all previous marks now entered on computerised records. |
| Volume: |
Data from approximately 4,200,000 files have now been entered on the system, with an average of 25 administrative actions or useful pieces of data applying to each document. By categories, there are around 80,000 designs (including the disappened industrial models and designs), more than two millions and half of trade marks (national and international) and another distinctive signs, and around 1,700,000 inventions (national patents and utility models, european applications and patents which designs Spain and PCT applications which designs Spain).
