Summer Course at the Menéndez Pelayo International University

Since 2006 the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO) has been organising a Summer Course, in collaboration with the Menéndez Pelayo International University, on the latest trends in Industrial Property and challenges for the future. The ninth edition will cover one of the most topical subjects in Industrial Property, namely, the value of Industrial Property.

Participants in the debates will include speakers from the fields of science (University of Alicante, Higher National Council for Scientific Research – CSIC), business (Interbrand, Roca, Freixenet, Foro de Marcas Renombradas Española, Asociación Nacional para la Defensa de la Marca) and institutions (Ministry for the Economy and Competitiveness, ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones, Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market and the European Patent Office).

The course will be held from 7 to 11 July at the Palacio de la Magdalena in Santander. The last day will include participation by the Presidents of the European Patent Office and the Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market, and the course will be closed by the Under-Secretary for Industry, Energy and Tourism and President of the SPTO.

Registration and applications for scholarships
Registrations and applications for scholarships may be sent in up to 2 June. As usual, registration will be done through the Menéndez Pelayo International University.
