On June 1, the awards ceremony for the First Edition of the Awards for the Best Invention Protected by Industrial Property was held, organized by the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, O.A. (SPTO), in the gardens of the Madrid headquarters of the School of Industrial Organization (EOI).

The act was chaired by the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Reyes Maroto Illera, accompanied by the Undersecretary of the Ministry and President of the SPTO, Pablo Garde Lobo. Both highlighted the importance of Industrial Property as intangible assets, and the government's commitment to innovation.
