Trademarks or trade names that have already been registered cannot be changed (Art. 33 of Trademark Act 17/2001).
If you wish to change the distinctive sign, for example, where a company has changed its logo or wishes to extend the list of products and/or services to which it refers, a new registration application must be submitted.
The previous registration does not necessarily need to be withdrawn and shall remain in force unless the applicant expressly withdraws the previously registered trademark or trade name.
