The Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO) has been informed by the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) that international trademark applicants have been receiving fraudulent requests for payments for applications that have not been issued by said Organisation. These fraudulent demands are even more serious insofar as they use fake names and logos that could lead to confusion as to the origin of the communications.
