Optionally, means (6) are connected to a rotary device (3) for changing the effective mass of buoy (1) to control the resonance frequency.

When decreasing volume of the annular gap-shaped pumping chamber, the pump piston expels hydraulic fluid from the pumping chamber toward the pressure accumulator and draws hydraulic fluid from the fluid tank into the substantially cylindrical pumping chamber. During a working stroke causing a decrease in volume of the substantially cylindrical pumping chamber, the pump piston causes hydraulic fluid to bypass the pump piston through a fluid connection from the substantially cylindrical pumping chamber into the annular gap-shaped pumping chamber and further in a direction toward the pressure accumulator.

Die Erfindung beschreibt ein Wellenkraftwerk, mit dessen Hilfe die in Wasserwellen gespeicherte Windenergie genutzt werden kann. Das geschieht dadurch, dass eine Masse durch eine oder mehrere Wellen auf ein höher gelegenes Niveau gehoben wird, von wo aus diese Masse auf ein tiefer gelegenes Niveau wieder absinken kann unter Abgabe und Nutzung einer Leistung, die sich aus dem Gewicht der gehobenen Masse, der gehobenen oder abgesenkten senkrechten Wegstrecke und der Frequenz dieser periodischen Hübe ergibt. Die Erfindung beschreibt sowohl mechanische, als auch hydraulische, pneumatische und elektrische Lösungen. Eine mechanische Lösung ist beispielsweise, dass schwere Gewichte mit Hilfe von Schwimmern durch einen Wellenberg in die Höhe gestemmt werden und auf dem nachfolgenden Weg ins Wellental mit Hilfe entsprechender Getriebe eine Nutzung der daraus entstehenden potenziellen Energie erzielt wird. Eine hydraulische Nutzung erfolgt, dass Wasser direkt aus dem Wellenberg entnommen wird und auf dem Weg ins Wellental eine Turbine durchfließt. Auch auf pneumatischem Wege erfolgt eine Energieumsetzung dadurch, dass durch das Auf und Ab eines Schwimmers auf den Wellen eine Luftpumpe betrieben wird, welche die Luft komprimiert und in einem Druckbehälter speichert, von wo aus eine Druckluft-Turbine angetrieben wird. Auf gleiche Weise kann auch durch eine auf und ab bewegte Induktionsspule oder durch einen Lineargenerator Strom erzeugt werden.

Marine waves create a pitching motion in the tanks forcing the outriggers to ascend and descend causing the vertical frame to rotate perpendicularly along the horizontal axis of the hinge. The power extraction system is comprised of a plurality of hydraulic cylinders connected to the vertical frame and outriggers. The pitching motion of the buoyant tanks and outriggers produce a vertical rotation along the horizontal axis of the hinge in the vertical frame, which forces contraction and expansion of the hydraulic cylinder assembly, thus extracting power from the relative motion between the members.
