Spaniard José Luis López wins the Popular Prize in the European Inventor Awards 2013

Spanish engineer José Luis López Gómez was the winner of the Popular Prize in the European Inventor Awards 2013, granted by the European Patent Office (EPO), for his design of a system for independent wheel guidance for High Speed Trains, within the Industry category.

This system has allowed Talgo to become a landmark in high-speed rail because it improves both train stability and passenger comfort while also helping to reduce energy consumption and the cost of maintenance.

The Spanish Patents and Trademark Office (OEPM) would like to thank all those who supported José Luis López Gómez with their votes.
