Climate change is a concept that is in vogue. No wonder it is a problem that can seriously affect our planet if we are not able to keep it under control. One of these phenomenon roots has been technology, rather the reckless use made of it, and precisely technology is one of our main hopes to solve it.

From 2015 the Statistics and Studies Service from the SPTO has been analysing the "Technologies for Climate Change Mitigation". Recently they have published a new report for the 2005-2016 period, whose intention is to analyse evolutionary trends on clean energies subject in this time. This comprehensive job covers such interesting aspects as the statistics of publishing requests (patents and utility models) for this kind of technologies at regional, national and European levels.

Numbers show a sustained growth in this term, specially for Solar and Wind Power. We invite you to consult it! And for those involved at this front we encourage you to keep on working to be able to say some day that we have reverted climate change.
