SPTO and gastronomy

Nowadays gastronomy occupies an increasingly important place in our lives. It is not only about feeding, but also about doing it in a healthy way and at the same time enjoying the flavors, textures, shapes, etc...

SPTO has begun to collaborate with the Dictionary of Gastronomy of the Ibero-American Academy of Gastronomy (AIBG) and LID Editorial publishing Industrial Property entries related to gastronomic terms.

This dictionary collects more than 7,000 defined terms in Spanish, with its correspondence in English, Portuguese and French, from 40 different areas and with terms from more than 15 countries. It has the collaboration of important Spanish and Latin American organizations in the world of gastronomy and food, as well as leading companies in the sector such as Makro, Iberia or Linkers.

The articles published in the dictionary will be related to a word that will be called “term of day”. The first article with which the SPTO begins its collaboration is "How to protect innovations in the gastronomic field". It is related to the term “plate up”, since culinary presentations in the form of plated are susceptible of protection under the Industrial Design modality.
