The aspects related to quality in the public administration in general, and to industrial property in particular, are playing a fundamental role in relation to the new challenges posed by society.

The Spanish Patent and Trademark Office makes its commitment to quality and user satisfaction concrete through diverse actions, including implementation of a Quality Management and Technological Watch System and publication of service charters containing commitments to users.

Likewise, the establishment of a Quality Policy by the Directorate-General ensures an organisational orientation that seeks the maximum satisfaction of users.

As proof of the strides made in this area, and of the initiatives related to management excellence, the SPTO holds AENOR certificates according to the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System and the UNE-166006:2011 Technological Watch and Competitive Intelligence System standards.

Furthermore, the SPTO has a specific portal on quality, the SPTO-Quality website, where you can find all the information related to Quality Management in the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office.
