A Monte-Carlo array of unit cells representative of the stochastic structure is created. The randomised unit cells may form three-dimensional volume data comprising iso-surfaces which may be rendered or printed with an additive manufacturing process. The implicit function may be any one or a combination of an ellipsoid, sphere, polygon, minimal surface or triply periodic minimal surface. A gas turbine engine including said randomised structure is also disclosed.
