The present invention provides an apparatus for heating a fluid using solar energy. Each of the chambers is fluid tight and configured as a solar collector to heat a fluid therein. The apparatus as a whole operates such that under even incident solar radiation a fluid is heated in each of the chambers and upon thermal expansion of the fluid, the fluid is moved in a controlled manner substantially one-way from the first chamber to the second chamber, and from the second chamber to a further chamber or to the outside the apparatus. By the movement of fluid from the first chamber to the second chamber, the first chamber donates a portion of the heat energy held by the fluid therein to the second chamber, the second chamber becomes enriched in heat energy by the gain of fluid and the first chamber becomes deprived in energy by the loss of fluid such that the second chamber contains fluid that is hotter than the first chamber.

The invention is intended for heating of water and similar fluids, and as an alternative, for electricity production. The solar energy collector comprises a collector plate (2) welded on a heat pipe (3). The heat pipe (3) is made from two parts, one welded to the collector plate (2) and other immersed in water tubes in which hot water heat is accumulate. The two parts of heat pipe (3) are continuous in cross section, and partly filled with the fluid which will not allow temperature to reach over 90° С. Accumulation consists of a plastic or metal tubes connected with each other and two connections from outside. The tubes are made from high temperature resistant plastic but can also be made from metal. The alternative solution refers to two heat pipes joined in one and directed to a small turbine (12) which produces electricity. The electricity is provided by a permanent magnet (13) positioned on the tops of turbine blades that rotate in the field of windings (14) and produce electricity. After passing through turbine (12) the gas from heat pipe is directed in two tubes where it condenses and the process goes on. The plastic housing (8) ensures the connection of all parts with minimal movement and is welded with plastic pipes and ribs. In this way, the plastic pipes, in addition to the accumulation, provide the supporting structure of the collector.
