WIPO Summer Course in Madrid

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) offers students in the final stages of their studies and young professionals the chance to acquire in-depth knowledge of the different fields of Intellectual Property (IP) and gain a better understanding of IP as an instrument for economic, social, cultural and technological development. The course also covers the role played by the SPTO in worldwide IP administration. The programme consists of lectures given by experts, practical case studies, simulation exercises and group discussions on particular IP topics aimed at examining the relationship between IP and other disciplines.

Organised by the WIPO Academy and the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO), the course will run for two weeks from 3 to 14 July and will be held in Madrid. Candidates who complete all the programme requirements will receive a certificate of participation.
