The legislative proposal for amending the Law on Trademarks, the Law on Legal Protection of Industrial Design and the Law on Patents is now open to the citizens to submit observations

Through this legislative proposal, Law 17/2001, of December 7, on Trademarks, Law 20/2003, of July 7, on the Legal Protection of Industrial Design and Law 24/2015, of July 24, Patents, are going to be modified.

The OEPM at the WIPO General Assemblies

One more year, on October 4-8, 2021, the “WIPO Assemblies” took place in Geneva (Switzerland). The Spanish delegation participated with representatives of the permanent mission of Spain in Geneva and the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (OEPM). This year was on a hybrid format, but there was a high degree of presence.

The global trade in fakes: a worrying threat

The Observatory of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) together with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) released last June the third report in the series: The world trade in fakes: a worrying threat. This report analyzes the global trade in counterfeit products. This third report is an update of the previous two, published in 2016 and 2019 respectively.

The 16th Annual Conference of European Policy for Intellectual Property (EPIP) took place in Madrid from September 8 to 10, at The Spanish National Research Council (CSIC).

The OEPM resumes-in person citizen service

On October 1, the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, O.A. (OEPM) resumed-in citizen service. The hours open to the public are from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Desde que empezara a practicarse la disciplina del boxeo en la Antigua Grecia hasta nuestros días, mucho se ha innovado en este deporte, haciendo que hoy podamos disfrutar de distintas formas de practicarlo y eso sí, todas bajo una premisa común, la lucha con los puños (del griego Pymachia y en latín Pugilatus). Y de una de estas innovaciones os queremos hablar en la entrada que publicamos hoy. Se trata de la desarrollada por la empresa Brooklyn Fitboxing, que aúna deporte, innovación y solidaridad.
