Seminar: Technology and Competitiveness when Confronting the Crisis: The Role of Industrial Property: Patents, Trademarks and Designs

Once again, within the framework of summer Courses, the Menéndez Pelayo International University , under the sponsorship of the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO), is organizing a seminar on Industrial Property.

The following seminar will be held in Santander from July 13 – 17: “Technology and Competitiveness when Confronting the Crisis. The Role of Industrial Property: Patents, Trademarks and Designs.”

During a strong economic and financial crisis like the one we're currently experiencing, cooperation is absolutely essential for improving the competitiveness of our business environment. This can be achieved by promoting innovative technological development and thereby improving our position in the marketplace.

Additionally, in times of scarce economic activity, damage to strong companies caused by forgery and piracy in the areas of industrial property become more significant, and therefore the fight against piracy deserves special attention.

Lastly, the program includes a proposal from the perspective of industrial property for getting out of the crisis when faced with climate change, which is called “a clean and green way out of the crisis.”

Registration Schedule: Ongoing until the limited number of places has been filled, and will be strictly administered based on registration order in the Students' Office.
Registration fee: 170 euros.
