Agreement on collaboration between the OEPM and the SPEGC

On 23 November, the Under-Secretary for Industry, Energy and Tourism and President of the Spanish Patents and Trademark Office (OEPM), the President of the Council of Grand Canary Island, and the President of the Sociedad de Promoción Económica de Gran Canaria S.A.U. (SPEGC) signed an agreement for collaboration in the field of Industrial Property (IP). The aim is to establish a two-way channel for cooperation between the OEPM and SPEGC to improve the dissemination of IP rights and IP rights management.

Under this agreement, apart from other activities, the SPEGC will participate in activities organised by the OEPM to disseminate IP amongst its staff. It will also advertise the activity of the OEPM in any fora in which it participates and will cooperate in the production and dissemination of studies and reports on specific matters considered of interest for Spanish businesses.

What is the SPEGC?
