Report about the VI Annual Iberoamerican Conference on the National IP Offices management improvement

The VI Annual Iberoamerican Conference on the National IP Offices management improvement took place at the Training Centre of the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (SAIDC) from October 16th to 19th 2017 at Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia). The conference was organized by the SPTO and the SAIDC under the title: 'Tools for the SMEs and companies to improve the knowledge and use of IP; from the idea to the market'.

18 Responsibles for programmes management for companies and SMEs belonging to National IP Offices (NIPO) from 13 different countries (Bolivia, Brasil, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, México, Paraguay, Perú, República Dominicana and España) took part at the event together with 3 experts on innovation.

Attendees shared their common premises and recognised their weaknesses and strengths to achieve the goals and conclusions that will improve the services that they offer to the companies of the region. Some bases of their work are: take advantage of the good practices carried out by the SAIDC, reuse common projects and train the subjects in charge of the SAIDC on the various aspects of the innovation that they are not familiar with.
