OEPM-UIMP Course: Key Aspects of the Trademark Law Reforms and its Impact on Trademark Law-
Since 2006 the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, O.A. (OEPM), in collaboration with the Menéndez Pelayo International University (UIMP), has organized a summer course on the latest trends and future challenges of Industrial Property. This year, due to the COVID19 pandemic, the course will be held on line from October 21 to 23, 2020.
This is the 15th edition of the course and the topic will be the "Key Aspects of the Trademark Law Reforms and its impact on Trademark Law". During the course, an overview of the scope of the reforms will be given, delving into the main material law developments relating to the concept of trademark, absolute and/or relative prohibitions, among others. The course will also focus on procedures that arise under the European regulations, such as the proof of use in the opposition procedures or the future administrative cancellation proceedings, such as invalidation and revocation procedures.
The course is designed for students, SMEs, professionals, and anyone who has an interest in approaching Industrial Property or wants to deepen their knowledge of this area of law.
