Advertising campaign: The truth of the fakesBlack Friday is one of the significant dates of November, due to the numerous purchases made. At the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, O.A. (OEPM) we are aware of this, and for this reason, year after year, we launch a campaign these days to stimulate the purchase of original products. The Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Reyes Maroto presented the advertising campaign together with the Undersecretary and President of the OEPM, Pablo Garde, and the Director of the OEPM, Aida Fernández. The presentation ceremony was attended by representatives of the public sector related to the fight against counterfeiting, such as the State Security Forces and Corps, and representatives of the private sector such as consumer or brand associations, among others. This year's campaign, with the slogan THE TRUTH OF THE FAKES, aims to inform and raise awareness that the consumption of these counterfeit products causes jobs to be closed, puts health at risk, or contributes to global contamination. This campaign was humanized, making counterfeit products come to life and confess the damage they have inflicted on people under a spotlight similar to that of a police interrogation. The visual format that has been used is modern and with bright colors. Through this creativity, a deeper awareness has been achieved in the target audience.
