New Service Charter of the SPTO for Industrial Designs

The Service Charters are documents used by the different administrations to inform citizens and users about the services entrusted to them, about the rights that assist them and about the quality commitments in their provision.

The Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, O.A. (SPTO) had seven service letters approved for the 2021-2024 period. A new service letter for Industrial Designs has recently been added to them, approved for the period 2023-2026 by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, following a positive report from the General Secretariat for Public Administration.

With this new addition, there are now eight service letters available to the SPTO. They are the following:

1. International Preliminary Examination and Search Administration
2. Utility Models
3. Technological Information
4. Information and Attention to the Citizen
5. Distinctive signs
6. File Service
7. National Patent
8. Industrial Designs

It is important to know the content of the service letters, since, through these documents, citizens and users can know the rights that assist them in their relationship with the organization.
