Journalists Irene Cortés and Sonia Salmerón, winners of Andema’s 2nd Javier Navarro Journalism AwardsThe Association for the Defence of Trademarks (ANDEMA) has presented the 2nd Javier Navarro Journalism Awards. The aim of these awards is to promote and recognise the work of journalists in disseminating and bringing Industrial Property and the importance of protection as value creation closer to public opinion. Irene Cortés Domínguez received the award in the category of “Economic and general media” and Sonia Salmerón in the category of “Legal media”. The finalists in these categories were Piergiorgio Sandri, in the “Economic and general media” category, and Alejandro Galisteo and Javier García in the “Legal media” category. Pablo Garde Lobo, President of the SPTO, who highlighted the consolidation of these awards in their second edition, which strengthens Spanish brands and the business ecosystem, closed the awards ceremony. Rosa Tous, president of ANDEMA, also highlighted the great job done by journalists to improve understanding of the importance of industrial property, companies and brands in creating employment and improving the economy and society.
