The SPTO charts its course for the next three yearsIn times, great navigators were concerned with charting as precise a course as possible that would lead their crews and merchandise to a safe harbor. Something similar happens today with organizations and institutions that fulfill a certain mission. To achieve the desired goals, it is necessary to establish a well-defined roadmap to guide and give meaning to the work done every day. Precisely, at the SPTO this month we have presented the Strategic Plan 2025-2027, which is the map that marks the path that will lead us to the fulfillment of our mission to promote economic development, innovation and competitiveness in our country. All the personnel involved in the organization, whose commitment to the achievement of the strategic mission is firm and resolute, have carefully prepared this planning. The result of all this work has materialized in the identification of four major objectives, the fulfillment of which will be achieved through specific strategies and projects. The first of these objectives will be the promotion of the strategic use of Industrial Property (IP), since it is through the effective protection of IP rights that innovation will be able to flourish, thus boosting the economic development of our society. Quality and excellence in the provision of services to citizens is a social demand that must be addressed as a priority. Because of that, the second objective of the Plan seeks to take intelligent advantage of the digital transformation to improve the quality of the services that users receive from the SPTO. Fulfillment of the objectives necessarily requires good internal functioning that favors all of the Office's officials and employees rowing in the same direction. Thus, the third objective is to continue moving towards a dynamic, motivating, collaborative and transparent working environment that also ensures the attraction and retention of talent. On the other hand, collaboration with our partners and allies in the defense of Industrial Property rights is crucial in order to be effective in fulfilling our mission. Therefore, the fourth objective focuses on reinforcing the SPTO's leadership and strengthening cooperation both nationally and internationally. In short, the Strategic Plan covers, in a crosscutting manner, all the work carried out every day by each and every one of the people who make up the Office and constitutes the guide that will lead us to fulfill our mission. In addition, this will lead us to an even greater destination, which is none other than the fulfillment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with which the SPTO's planning is fully aligned and committed.
