The OEPM Heads to the Trade Shows Sometimes, the call of duty takes OEPM professionals away from their office routines and leads them to more festive places… trade shows! There is no shortage of volunteers at the Office willing to travel across Spain to raise awareness among the country’s business community and the general public about the benefits of Industrial Property (IP), as dictated by our institutional mission. Recently, we had the pleasure of visiting three magnificent fairs with the aim of promoting the use of IP as a catalyst for competitiveness and business growth. We began with the Madrid Design Festival, the event that transformed the Spanish capital into the epicenter of international design during the months of February and March. Design is a key element in transforming reality and our way of life, integrating diverse sectors such as industry, craftsmanship, innovation, the economy, and even everyday life. The OEPM organized a booth alongside Fundesarte and the School of Industrial Organization, where various artisans and designers had the opportunity to share their experience and their protected creations with attendees. In addition, our professionals were on-site registering the designs of all users who requested it. Once again, we traveled to Málaga to attend a new edition of Transfiere, one of the largest R&D&I events in all of Europe. This event provides an ideal space for creating solid and lasting connections between the worlds of science, business, and investment. It is a great opportunity to facilitate the transfer of knowledge from the laboratory to the market, culminating in the development of new products and production processes that meet the needs of industry and improve the end result for consumers.
Finally, we attended IMEX, the leading trade fair for international business and investment in Spain, which has established itself as the primary meeting point for companies, public administrations, consulting firms, and organizations dedicated to the internationalization of Spanish SMEs. Once again, through various presentations, workshops, and informational booths, we have dedicated significant efforts to helping SMEs and entrepreneurs in our country harness the full potential of IP to consolidate their positions, grow, and become competitive in global markets.
