The SPTO in Figures 2016

The Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO) has published the booklet “The SPTO in Figures 2016” with the aim of providing a quick reference to statistical data for the various types of Intellectual Property: Patents, Utility Models, Trademarks, Trade Names and Industrial Designs. The tables and diagrams in the booklet enable comparisons to be made for the different types of IP against performance in previous years.

As well as data on the various types of IP in this country, the booklet also includes international applications made in Spain using the PCT system, the Madrid System (International Trademarks) and The Hague System (International Designs) plus regional applications made in Spain, European Patents, European Union Trademarks and Community Designs.

An infographic showing the most significant data from 2016 has also been published.
