SPTO will be attending several fairs in the coming months
Traditionally, the SPTO has shown decided interest in being present at events such as fairs and congresses that allow them to expand their field of activity and promote the dissemination of Industrial Property. They are present with their stand and/or with presentations.
These next few months the SPTO will attend the following fairs:
21-22 February - 8th Edition of Salón Mi Empresa - Madrid
The Salon MiEmpresa, organised by Creaventure, is the annual event of reference for entrepreneurs, freelancers, micro-enterprises and small businesses.
The SPTO will be present at this event sharing a stand with CEVIPYME. In addition, SPTO experts will read two papers titled "Who can help me (if possible, free of charge) with Industrial Property?" (Tuesday, 22nd February) and "Industrial Property as a tool for the internationalization of companies: trade marks, designs and patents" (Wednesday, 22nd February), respectively.
22-23 February - European BEST Engineering Competition - Madrid
The European BEST Engineering Competition (EBEC) is an engineering competition where attendees, just using their knowledge and skills, have to solve a proposed problem in a given amount of time. It is an excellent occasion for participants to develop their capacity to work as a team and improve their knowledge, as well as to learn how to think in a constructive and real way. For companies, this is an opportunity to understand how technical career students and future employees face real problems.
 
The Madrid local round will take place at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Telecomunicaciones (ETSIT) on 22 and 23 February and it´s organised by BEST Madrid, local group of BEST (Board of European Students of Technology) of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) and member of BEST International since 1996. The different team winners of this round will go through to the national/regional round where they will fight with students from other universities for a place at the 2017 EBEC Final.
The SPTO will be there with a stand and a presentation in the Madrid local round.
22-23 February - Nutraceuticals Europe Fair - Madrid
Nutraceuticals Europe fair and congress is dedicated to functional ingredients and novel ingredients. It will be held between 22 and 23 February 2017 at the Madrid Fair, being organised by Aude Business Events.It is the sector’s most important international event and a professional meeting point for producers, distributors and their customers.
The First Nutraceuticals Europe Congress will show the latest scientific and technological knowledge findings on functional ingredients (nutraceuticals, cosmeceuticals and new foods) Scientists and technologists from prestigious scientific institutions and companies will be there presenting the healthy properties of those ingredients for consumers.
The SPTO will be present in this fair with a stand. In addition, they will give a presentation on protection of innovations on 23 February.
28 February to 3 March - GENERA-Madrid Fair
GENERA, The International Energy and Environment Fair will celebrate its twentieth edition between 28 February and 3 March at the Madrid Fair, organised by IFEMA and promoted by Spain's Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE) and the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism.
The SPTO will be present with a stand and a presentation.
9-10 March - 15th Edition of the IMEX Fair (External Impulse) - Madrid
The Spanish Patent and Trade Mark Office (SPTO) will be present at IMEX 2017, Spain’s largest foreign trade fair. IMEX, whose first edition was held in January 2003, started the first International Business and Foreign Trade fair held in Spain. Next 9 and 10 March presents its 15th edition, and is considered the annual meeting point and reference of International Trade.
The SPTO will be present with a stand and a presentation.
29 March to 2 April - 45th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva
The Spanish Patent and Trade Mark Office is present at the 45th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva under the patronage of the Swiss Federal Government, the State and City of Geneva and the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO), and in which each year inventors from all parts of the world come together, with the participation of many Patent Offices.
With over 695 exhibitors from 40 countries, it is considered an essential meeting point in the world of innovation. Each year 1,000 unknown inventions are submitted by companies, researchers and inventors, universities and private and public organisations.
Prizes awarded in this event are the public recognition to the value of inventions in the technological and economic development of different countries.
The fair is held at the Palexpo Hall in Geneva from 29 March to 2 April 2017. The Spanish Patent and Trade Mark Office (SPTO) will award, as in previous editions, a prize for the best Spanish invention.
