Annual Meeting of Regional Centres of Information on IP matters

October 23rd, Zaragoza

The Annual Meeting of Regional Centres of Information on IP took place past October 23rd at Zaragoza. Among the attendees we would like to stress the presence of the Autonomous Communities of Andalucía, Aragón, Asturias, Castilla y León, Galicia, La Rioja, Murcia, Navarra, País Vasco and Valencia representatives together with those of the SPTO.

The main genearal news on IP and SPTO were presented during the meeting. Specifically it was made a detailed study on the Regulation of the Patent Law execution, which became effective on April 1st 2017, as well as the Strategic Plan of the SPTO 2017-2020. Furthermore the Business Competitiveness Institute of Valencia (BCIV) explained the project of reorientation of the PATLIB Centres in which they participate.

The meeting proceeded with an interesting opinion and experience exchange which allowed each Regional Centre to make an analysis on its actions along the year. This was a perfect way of estimating the activity done in every single Autonomus Community in relation to IP.

As part of the ‘Cátedra Carlos Fernández-Nóvoa’ of Innovation and IP there were a conference that took place the past October 24th at the Technological Institute of Aragon (TIA).

The conference ended with the visit to the TIA facilities. There the attendees had the opportunity of entering the semi-anechoic chamber where responsibles of the TIA offered an explanation about the experiments developed by them.
