Series of Conferences ‘The role of Patent Examiner’Attractive career opportunity Patent titles provide to their holders a series of exclusive rights and prevent the exploitation of the protected invention by third parties. In order to avoid monopolies, these rights should be just granted to those inventions which entail a contribution to society, reason why according to the Law 24/2015, of July 14th, on Patents all Patents granted in Spain should pass a substantive examination. The power to ensure that an invention meets the requirements to be patented is, in first place, of Patent Examiners. The SPTO has organized in cooperation with Professional Associations a series of informative conferences with the aim of spreading the work of these professionals, Patent Examiners, who are part of the civil servant staff of the SPTO and whose background combines a technical education with a deep knowledge of the applicable regulations. The purpose of these conferences is to underline their work and suggest an attractive but almost unknown career opportunity.
