The On-duty Patent Examiner Service recorded a user satisfaction in excess of 85%

High-quality services from the SPTO

After the external audits performed in late June, the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO) retains its certificates according to UNE-EN ISO 9001:2008 (Quality Management System) and UNE 166.006:2011 (Management of R&D+i, Technological Surveillance System and Competitive Intelligence).

The audit result was satisfactory, with a Report considering that the Management System used is correct for the organisation’s processes and meets benchmark standards. The auditors did not report any non-compliance or non-fulfilment of the standards. These certificates reflect the commitment shown by all the SPTO staff to on-going improvement and to the provision of a quality service for users.

High level of satisfaction
Along this line of on-going improvement, the SPTO periodically carries out surveys to determine to what extent users are satisfied with its services, finding out their opinions and consequently improving its services. The results of the surveys on the European Patent, the On-duty Patent Examiner and Technology Information have recently been published. Users expressed a high degree of satisfaction with SPTO services. For example, the On-duty Patent Examiner Service recorded a user satisfaction in excess of 85%.
