New private space within the OEPM: "MIO: Mi OEPM"

The health crisis that we are experiencing is showing us the importance of the electronic means that we have today to continue our daily activities.

As of March 2, 2020, the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office O.A. (OEPM) made available to the public, through the Electronic Office, a new private consultation space called "MIO: Mi OEPM".

This space, accessible with a password, is designed to make it easier for users of the Industrial Property (IP) system to consult the documentation submitted to the SPTO and associated with their files in all forms of IP.

MIO has all the security measures needed to guarantee that access to a complete file is done exclusively by the Applicant who is the Holder, its Representative in the process or its Industrial Property Agent.

The application can be reached through a link on the web of the SPTO that redirects to the URL of the Electronic Office, in the section “Situation of Files / MIO”, using the common platform to the identification-authentication called Cl@ve: http://consultas2.oepm.es/mio/

For ease navigation, MIO has been designed with a similar appearance to the SPTO application for consultation of dossiers: CEO. Likewise, there is help information through the different screens of the application. The main functionalities of the application are:

• Query of files (access to your bibliographic data and associated public and non-public documents).
• Payment consultation and management (in this first version, this module includes the consultation of payments made during the last year, associated with the NIF of access to MIO).
• Consultation of publications in BOPI of your files.
• Consultation of personal data.
• Management of authorized users.
