Publication of the monographs, in Spanish and English versions, by Leonardo Torres Quevedo and Juan de la Cierva y CodorníuIn Spain we have had many great inventors throughout our history. From the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, O.A. (OEPM) we wanted to do a small tribute to two of them: Leonardo Torres Quevedo (1852-1936) and Juan de la Cierva y Codorníu (1895-1936), by editing two monographs in Spanish and English. These works have been chosen due to the selection of two patents that are going to be exhibited in different European exhibitions within the project "European Digital Treasures: management of centenary archives in the 21st century". The two patents mentioned are as follows: ES81406: Improvements in Juan de la Cierva's rotary wing airplanes; ES42237: A new Torres Quevedo ferry system; Both inventors developed innovations with national and international repercussions. Therefore, in order to highlight their role in history, as well as to disseminate their life and work, a selection of the most interesting patents and documents preserved in the collection has been made from the documental base from the Historical Archive of the OEPM.
