OEPM virtual round table: Valuation of Industrial Property rightsOn June 17, the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, O.A. (OEPM) organized a round table in order to publicize more details regarding the valuation of intangibles. We are in the knowledge society where the value of our economy and of our companies and organizations is not only found in products, but also in the value of talent, which is an essential factor to position ourselves competitively and effectively in the market. Knowing the value of the intangibles related to industrial property, that is to say, patents, trademarks, industrial designs, etc., is a fundamental step in getting "ideas to market". This slogan, used by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) to celebrate this year the World Intellectual Property Day, wants to show that, when the value of associated innovation and other assets reaches the market, it translates into a better profitability for the company.
