Celebration of XX Annual Meeting of Regional Information Centers on Industrial Property

On November 9 and 10, the XX annual meeting of Regional Information Centers on Industrial Property (CCRR) took place in La Rioja. The conference was opened by the Manager of the La Rioja Economic Development Agency (ADER) and the director of the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, O.A. (OEPM).

On November 9, a series of presentations were made. The topics discussed were the following:

• Strategic plan of the OEPM. Operational planning.
• New support services for SMEs. Industrial Property Diagnosis.
• News and improvements in the electronic headquarters of the OEPM for inventions.
• Statistical data related to Regional Centers 2020.
• Proof of use. Absolute grounds of refusals for trademarks.

Likewise, an open session was held in which each of the centers presented their point of view.

On November 10, the event took place at the Institute of Vine and Wine Sciences (ICVV), where some talks were held: basic concepts of industrial property and another on protection of innovation and technology transfer.

This meeting strengthened the existing relationship between the OEPM and the Regional Information Centers, as well as to reinforce the synergies and areas of collaboration between the institutions.
