A new opportunity to become an Industrial Property AgentA new opportunity to become an Industrial Property Agent This month we have called the aptitude exams for Industrial Property Agents (API), which qualify those who pass them for the exercise of this professional activity. The deadline for submitting applications will remain open until May 7, 2025. These tests accredit the knowledge of Spanish Law for the recognition of the professional qualification for the exercise in Spain of the activity of Industrial Property Agent to citizens of the European Union or of States party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Industrial Property Agents are registered in the Special Registry of Industrial Property Agents of the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO). Their functions consist of advising, assisting or representing third parties in obtaining registrations in the various Industrial Property modalities and defending the rights derived therefrom before any Spanish, Community or international Administration competent in Industrial Property matters. The Agents render their services as liberal professionals on a free competition basis.
