New electronic application for Industrial Designs

In the framework of the Cooperation Fund of the Office for Harmonisation in the Internal Market (OHIM), the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO), in cooperation with OHIM, has developed an application for electronic application for Industrial Designs. The aim is to improve and facilitate the procedure for submitting and granting Industrial Designs within the SPTO.

This new application has been available since 7 November in the Express Design Service set up recently by the SPTO to help Industrial Design applicants to submit their electronic applications with assistance from SPTO staff. This new service will subsequently be made available on the SPTO website, via the Electronic Office.

This project, the result of successful cooperation between SPTO and OHIM, falls within the SPTO policy to reduce the administrative burden relating to the granting of Industrial Property rights by shortening time periods and creating new computer tools.
