OEPMESTAD, new statistics data base

In its on-going efforts to improve the management of its statistics, the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO) has created a new free, on-line data base, OEPMESTAD.

This allows interactive access to statistics on the different types of Industrial Property. Queries can be made so that professionals, researchers and the general public can use it as a useful source of information.

The OEPMESTAD will be updated annually and will allow for searches between 1987 and 2013, depending on the statistics generated. There will also be two additional advantages: it generates graphs of the statistics that are consulted most frequently, and data can be downloaded in Excel format.

This application will replace the annual publications on Industrial Property statistics - Tome I (Inventions), Tome II (Trademarks and Industrial Designs) and Tome III (Resources) - which have been published every year in PDF format on the SPTO website.

OEPMESTAD is available on the SPTO website within the Statistics section.
