ALFA: New inventions management system

The SPTO, in its constant process of modernization, has introduced a new system for managing the processing of applications for inventions, called ALFA.

New Volume II Format for BOPI

With the implementation of the new internal management system for processing applications for inventions, ALFA, Volume II of BOPI communicates through a new XML format, which replaces the one previously used on the SPTO website.

The SPTO is involved in EU projects on Intellectual Property

The SPTO actively participates in projects promoted by the Directorate-General of Industry and Innovation of the European Commission, aimed at stimulating the use of Intellectual and Industrial Property in member countries.

Improvements made to esp@cenet-Latipat

The database esp@cenet-Latipat contains more than one and half million bibliographic data and several thousand images of patent documents from 19 Latin American countries.

The State Administration for Industry and Commerce of China visits the SPTO

The aim is to improve management and effectiveness of industrial property systems between the Trademark Office of the People’s Republic of China and the SPTO.
