Improvements made to esp@cenet-Latipat
The database esp@cenet-Latipat contains more than one and half million bibliographic data and several thousand images of patent documents from 19 Latin American countries.
Last September it launched the new version of EPTOS 8 for esp@acenet-Latipat which includes the following features:
- The creation of the new access “Classification Systems” on the homepage, which provides information in Spanish and links to the two Classifications present in esp@cenet: International Patent Classification (IPC) and the European Patent Classification (ECLA).
- The new page “LATIPAT 2.0” gives access to:
- The Latipat channel on YouTube, Facebook, and the LinkedIn Network
- Three online training modules in Spanish:
- Introduction to esp@cenet
- Searching using key words and classification symbols in esp@cenet
- Different search strategies in esp@cenet
- A library of bulletins and Industrial Property newsletters in Google-Books.
- The new page “Technology Watch” gives access to information on technology patents related to combating climate change (green patents) and biotechnology patents.
- The new button “Translate this text” through the new OPS service and WorldLingo, which allows automatic translation of summaries from Spanish to English and from English to French, German, Italian and Spanish.
