Summer Course at the Menéndez Pelayo International University

Since 2006, in collaboration with the Menéndez Pelayo International University (UIMP), the Spanish Patents and Trademark Office (OEPM) has been organising a Summer Course on the latest trends and future challenges in Industrial Property. This year, the 8th edition will be focusing on the Marca España under the title “Industrial Property and its contribution to the Marca España. It will be held from 8 to 12 July at the Palacio de la Magdalena in Santander.

Participants this year will include representatives of Spanish companies that are in the forefront of Spanish innovation in sectors such as fashion, renewable energy, tourism, footwear, railways and ceramics. All of them hold Industrial Property titles –patents, trademarks and industrial designs– and have a marked international presence.

This year’s Course will be chaired by the Under-Secretary for Industry, Energy and Tourism (also President of the OEPM). Also present will be the High Commissioner for Marca España, the President of the European Patent Office (EPO) and the President of the Office for Harmonisation of the Interior Market (OHIM).
