Visit by the KIPA Korean association to the SPTO
On 1 July, the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO) received a visit from a delegation from KIPA (the Korea Invention Promotion Association), which carries out international promotion and aims to further economic development through technological innovation.
Several SPTO experts explained how the Office works and the various services it offers. The KIPA representatives showed special interest in the various SPTO programmes to promote the use of Industrial Property rights and its campaigns to create awareness about piracy and counterfeiting. They were also interested in the technology information services, technology alerts and the technological reports on Patents.
In addition, two experts from the Centre for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) explained to the KIPA representatives the tools used to promote innovation and technological development among Spanish firms.
