New publication: IP and its influence on business success (Volume 2)

Successful cases of 21 Spanish companies

The correct IP management is directly related to an outstanding positioning at an increasingly competitive global market. Three aspects are decisive for corporate competitiveness: sales turnover, retail price and manufacturing cost. IP is essentially connected to each of them because patents, trademarks and designs are business assets that have become more and more important for the value that our companies have inside the market.

The SPTO works tirelessly to send this message and make Spanish firms aware that including an IP strategy is vital for the task of identifying and distinguishing their goods in an international context. The Office has recently published the second volume of the book ‘IP and its influence on business success’ with the aim of illustrating this fact. The book gathers the successful cases of 21 Spanish companies that have supported their business grown on Industrial Property, making it an essential key for value generation.

This publication, that was possible thanks to the hard joint endeavour of the staff of the SPTO and the companies involved, is part of the Strategic Plan 2017-2020 on IP whose intention is to spread IP knowledge. The book, available at the Publications Section of the SPTO website, pays homage to the effort made by those companies, especially SMEs, that propel their technological advancements and the Spanish international image around the world day by day.
