Country Brand Seminar'Crucial elements for the Country Brand creation and its relation with the Industrial Property' In the incessant race to become more competitive at a global economy, the nations of the world have realized that they need a brand as it happens with any product. The term Country Brand meets the demand of creating their own identity in the context of international markets expressed by governments and economic, cultural, social and sports sectors. In short, it can be considered a strategy for capitalizing countries reputation. The IV Regional Seminar 'Crucial elements for the Country Brand creation and its relation with the Industrial Property', organized by the SPTO together with the AECID, was held from October 15th to 18th 2018 in Montevideo (Uruguay). The aim of the seminar was to highlight the value of creating a Country Brand as a decisive factor for the economic development at a national, regional and international level. One of the essential points of the meeting was the analysis of the influence that different factors have in the creation of a Country Brand, from the business network to sporting achievements, cultural events, handcraft activities or formative offers. Representatives of several national institutions from Brazil, Chile, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela attended the seminar, exchanging experiences and good practices.
