The exhibition 'Mujeres inventoras' travels to Salamanca

Vital journey of 23 women inventors

The World Intellectual and Industrial Property day was celebrated past April under the motto 'Powering change: Women in innovation and creativity'. Joining the WIPO initiative, the SPTO created the exhibition 'Mujeres inventoras' (Women inventors) with the intention of highlighting the vital journey of 23 women inventors, paying tribute to their creative talent and emphasizing the vital role that patents have on the protection of scientific and innovative work.

The itinerant exhibition, which brings the history, achievements and inventions of these brave women closer to the public, was recently taken to the well-known Casa de las Conchas located in Salamanca (Calle de la Compañía, 2). There, it could be visited from November 19th to 23rd as a part of the Innovation Week, organized by the Institute for Biomedical Research of Salamanca (IBSAL, by its Spanish acronym).

One of the main information sources used to create the exhibition has been the interesting Women Inventors Gallery, of the SPTO Historical Web.

To host the exhibition, please submit applications to the email account areadifusion@oepm.es
