Two new information brochures on the PCT procedure are now availableThe internationalization of companies brings important benefits, but also challenges, and that is why intellectual and industrial property (PII) plays a very relevant role in this process. For this, the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, O.A. (OEPM) has recently published two very interesting and useful information brochures for the internationalization of patents and their procedure and specifically, with the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT):
The two brochures have been prepared by experts from the OEPM and have the common objective of highlighting the patent protection strategy by combining the filing of a national application and its subsequent international PCT application using the OEPM as Receiving Office (RO), and as International Search Administration (ISA). Its purpose is to make available to applicants a summary text of the most outstanding aspects of the international PCT procedure administered by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and to show how national applicants can save on fees using the Spanish priority of a prior national deposit, and therefore recover part of the investment made through the corresponding reimbursements and subsidies. Discover these informative brochures and all those in which the OEPM has collaborated in the section of the OEPM website: Informative Brochures.
