The Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, OA, (SPTO) has published, as every year, the final statistical data corresponding to the year 2019. This publication offers a general overview of the different types of Industrial Property based on the data of the applications submitted or published of the different types of Industrial Property (IP): patents, utility models, industrial designs, trademarks and trade names.

Amendments to the Regulations for the Patent Cooperation Treaty (IV)

This will be the last of the informative pills on the modifications of various Rules of the Regulation of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (hereinafter, PCT) that we have been publishing in different issues of this magazine.



Holidays and counterfeits

At last the moment of the deserved rest has arrived. Now that we are allowed free movement we begin to move to vacation spots and, especially this summer, due to the evolution of the pandemic in foreign countries, holidays are going to be enjoyed mostly within our country.



SPTO payment proof

Since July 1, 2020, the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office O.A. (SPTO) made available to citizens the new service of generation of proof of payments with the aim of facilitating the management of system users.



Agreement with the National Association of Centers and Innovative Companies (ANCES)

The Spanish Patent and Trademark Office O.A. (SPTO) and the National Association of Centers and Innovative Companies (ANCES) have signed a four-year collaboration agreement, in order to facilitate, promote and stimulate the knowledge and use of Industrial Property rights (in ahead, PI) between the members of the association, in addition to reinforcing the two-way channel of institutional communication between both entities.
