Great success of the IPA4SME service of the European Commission after its first 20 months

The estimated value of counterfeit items confiscated on the EU internal market in 2019 amounted to €1.8 billion

The EUIPO Observatory published a report last December on the enforcement of industrial and intellectual property rights (IPR) in the EU internal market showing the results of arrests in EU Member States, 2019.

Como continuación de la última entrada en el blog titulada “Los efectos del Brexit en los derechos de Propiedad Industrial a partir del 1 de enero de 2021-Parte I” se expone ahora un desarrollo más en profundidad sobre la “Comunicación a las partes interesadas” (en adelante, la “Comunicación”) que la Comisión de la Unión Europea (UE) y la Oficina de Propiedad Intelectual de la Unión Europea (EUIPO) publicaron el pasado 18 de junio de 2020, con el fin de explicar cuestiones adicionales sobre las consecuencias del Brexit en las Marcas de la Unión y de diseños y modelos comunitarios a partir del final del periodo transitorio (31 de diciembre de 2020) que se estableció en el Acuerdo de Retirada.
