Call for interest on the new Basic Order regulating the granting of subsidies for patents and utility modelsCall for interest on the new Basic Order regulating the granting of subsidies for patents and utility models Since 2006, the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (OEPM) has been granting subsidies for Spanish and foreign patents and utility models. At the OEPM, we want to continue helping companies and applicants for these inventions in the best way. Therefore, in accordance with our 2025-2027 strategic plan, and specifically project 2.1.1 on the continuous improvement of services, we have launched a public consultation on the new order of bases regulating the granting of subsidies for patents and utility models. In this way, we aim to gather opinions of users of the industrial property system so that, as far as possible, we can adapt and improve the system, which will undoubtedly benefit everyone. There have been many changes in this area in recent years, as European institutions have opened up different lines of subsidies and there have also been reductions in fees for various reasons. The overlap between the different aid systems can lead to confusion among citizens and users. The aim is to ensure that users of industrial property benefit as much as possible from this aid, while at the same time making efficient use of public resources. The deadline for submitting observations, comments, or allegations is Tuesday, December 9. They should be sent to the following email address: coordinacionjuridica@oepm.es, indicating in the subject line: “Prior public consultation on OEPM subsidies.” More information https://www.mintur.gob.es/es-es/ParticipacionPublica/Paginas/DetalleParticipacionPublica.aspx?k=748
