TMview Allows Access to Spanish Distinctive Signs
As of last September 9, the tool for making queries on brands in Europe, “TMview” incorporates data from Spanish trademarks and trade names which are currently in force (applications and filings).
TMview allows free access to data on trademarks of the OHIM, WIPO and the National Industrial Property Offices in the UK, Czech Republic, Denmark, Italy, Benelux, Portugal and Spain. Subsequent plans call for the incorporation of trademark data from Estonia, Slovenia, Slovakia and France, to cover the 27 Member States of the European Union.
The addition of trademarks and Spanish trade name data (about one million) will result in having access to more than five million brands available through TMview.
Since its launch on April 13, thousands of users have logged in from some 100 countries. The most frequent users are those in Denmark, Italy and Spain.
TMview is accessible free of charge through the SPTO website.
