The SPTO Makes the INVENES Web Service Accessible

The Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (SPTO), in its goal to disseminate information technology contained in patent documents, offers its users web service data from the INVENES Spanish inventions database, which contains information on patents and Spanish and Latin American utility models, as well as on Spanish industrial designs.

The service serves as a technical and functional manual in that it explains details concerning the design, implementation and use of search services offered for utilization by both SPTO applications as well as by external users.

It also provides a safe search mechanism independent of the web environment with the necessary functions to search for patent documents. Its use requires filling out the corresponding form in order to request a username and password to the SPTO.

The INVENES Web Service can be accessed through the Virtual Office section of SPTO.
