Administrative Management Course on Industrial Property (Paralegals)
In today’s economic environment, where knowledge has become an engine for growth, IP rights constitute an essential foundation in creating value. A large part of a company’s market value is determined by its intangible assets such as patents, trademarks and designs, allowing it to achieve better financing and higher returns on its R + D + i.
In industry, the university and, in short, Spanish society, there is an urgent need to provide solid training in Industrial Property to those professionals whose activities have an impact on improving our competitiveness through the management of intangible assets resulting from innovative activity.
The EOI, in collaboration with the SPTO, offers this course on Administrative Management of Industrial Property (Paralegals), which forms part of the activities of the newly created Carlos Fernández-Nóvoa Endowed Chair in Innovation and Industrial Property.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
• Offer participants theoretical and practical training in Industrial Property, inventions, distinctive signs and designs.
• Provide in-depth training on all relevant aspects of Spanish protection systems
• Provide ongoing and structured training on international protection systems: European, PCT, U.S., Chinese, etc.
• Promote the exchange of experiences among stakeholders at the national and international level.
AIMED AT:
Agencies and Industrial Property professionals, staff from Industrial Property departments in companies, University Research Results Transfer Offices (OTRIS), Technology Parks, and Industrial Property Offices, etc., and in general for all professionals interested in the management of Industrial Property.
The course has a strong practical component, linked to occupation. It will be taught by recognized industry professionals active in government administration, agencies, firms and institutions related to the world of Industrial Property with a level of practical expertise.
Length: 98 hours
Dates and times: The course is structured in 5 modules which can be taken all at once or independently, and will be held on the following dates:

Module 2: July 11, 12, 13
Module 3: September 12, 13, 14
Module 4: October 17, 18, 19
Module 5: November 14, 15
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:30 to 19:00
